Ruru of the Night Original

This original illustration is of a watchful Ruru (Morepork) owl perched on a branch, surveying the night. The background effect was created using salt while the washes of deep blue and black were wet.

Illustrated in Waimakariri, New Zealand on 300gsm 

Hahnenuhle hot pressed watercolour paper using watercolour and ink.

240x320mm size paper, slightly larger than an A4.

Each illustration is hand signed, includes a certificate of authenticity and is packaged in a clear cellophane bag with detachable board backing. The original comes unframed.
